1 Corinthians 13:4-8a (NIV), Love is patient, Love is Kind, It does not envy, It does not boast, it is not proud, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love Does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
I have heard these verses and read them over and over, many times in my life. Just recently, I have had the deepest desire to study out each characteristic of love.
Like many scriptures and quotes, we say the words but do we truly understand the meanings?
My heart’s desire is to truly experience God’s love myself and to love others with that same love.
I want you to take some time and think about your day today. Do you think you were loving to God? Do you think you were loving to others? Do you think you were loving to yourself?
Journal on this today and we will begin a journey of truly understanding what this scripture is saying about love!
Lord, Give us eyes to see, ears to hear, and a softened heart to truly be able to look at ourselves and how we love. May we experience Your love in a way we have never known. Guide our words as we write today. In Jesus Name! Amen!
