We all have testimonies to share. You would think that because we are women we would share our hearts better but many of us have had hurts and our hearts are wounded so we don’t let anyone in. We hesitate because others may not like us after they know us but you would be surprised.
God’s Word has an incredible amount to say about our testimonies. Let us dig in and take a look.
“And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal Life, and this life is in His Son.” 1 John 5:11
Our first testimony is the one when we first believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus is our Lord and Savior. It is when we are convicted that we are sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God and repent of our sins.
“for all have fallen short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
“that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.” Romans 10:9-10
We also have testimonies daily!!!
How has God provided for you today? Did you wake up? Do you have a home to live in? Do you have parents who love you? Do you have food to eat and clothes to wear? Are you healthy?
The list goes on.
Have you been praying about something or seeking God for what He would like to do.? Have you asked Him to forgive someone or to have a better attitude.
We live life with God, through Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit and He is always moving and working in our lives.
Are you inviting Him into your life every day? Are you asking Him to speak to you?
When we invite Him into our lives, we will experience so many more testimonies to share with others.
“But before all these things, they will lay hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before Kings and governors for My name’s sake. It will lead to an opportunity for your testimony.” Luke 21:12-13
We all have trials and struggles in our lives. They become testimonies to who God is. The purpose of everything is for God’ to be glorified and as we share our stories and testimonies, He will be glorified all the more.
When we share our testimonies others are encouraged. We help someone feel as though they are not alone in this life or in their struggle. We build each other up in our faith by sharing what God has done in our lives.
“Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11
When we share our testimonies we also encourage each other in the way we should go. We spur one another on to do what God has called us to do and to walk in obedience and in the spirit and not the flesh.
But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today”, so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.” Hebrews 3:13
Once a week, I will be having a friend share their testimony. I pray we are all encouraged and built up. If you have a testimony to share please make a comment or send me a message. I would love to have you share!
