Feeling Like A Daisy In The Midst Of Roses
This morning I was washing dishes and my mind wandered to a conversation with some friends last night. This past month has been an intense battle of the mind for me. The enemy has been bringing up constant thoughts about how I am less than and inferior to everyone around me.
It caused me to have flashbacks. Insecurity, feeling worthless and not good enough had been my identity for a long time. I would walk into a restaurant and I would shrink within because I felt inferior to every woman in there. The messages that had been spoken into me had become my identity.
As I looked at my flowers this morning, I was thinking about how I felt like that daisy surrounded by these beautiful roses. An ordinary girl in the midst of extraordinary ones.

We have constant cultural messages bombarding our minds and hearts daily, telling us that we need to be a certain way and look a certain way to be accepted, fit in, or to just to be normal.
I look around at other women and I feel like I just don’t measure up or wonder why I can’t look like them or keep up the same pace as them. I resent my limitations and odd body features.
Psalm 139:14 “I will give thanks to You for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.” NASB
How I long to receive this truth that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I desire for my soul to truly know this!
Ladies we are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. We are made with purpose.

God made the daisy and the rose. They are both beautiful to Him because He created them. We consider one to be more extraordinary than the other because of the world’s standards.
How many mindsets, strongholds, and lies are we holding onto and believing today? Don’t let the enemy steal what God has done and is doing in and through you because you feel ordinary or inferior.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made! You are God’s creation! You are beautiful, He loves you and has a special plan and purpose for your life. Receive that truth today!
