HI! I want to welcome you here with open arms and a big hug. Take off your shoes, make yourself at home, and let’s get to know one another better.
My name is Desiree Taylor. I am a wife to my wonderful, loving husband, Duane. We have been married for twenty-six years and counting. We have two sons. Kyle is twenty-eight and living his life. David is twenty-three and married. We are in empty nest season with parents getting older around us.
I enjoy reading, writing, and hanging out with family and friends. I love spending time with the young adult ladies at our church. My heart is to mentor, disciple, and pass on the wisdom God has given me through life’s seasons. I am a woman of prayer, and I enjoy just sitting and listening to those who need someone. My primary ministry has been my home and as the boys have grown, ministry has grown as well. I have loved writing, and I believe God has given me the opportunity to use that to love and encourage others. Speaking is a close second.
I have sensorineural hearing loss and grew up gradually losing my hearing. I have gone from wearing one hearing aid to two, and now I have cochlear implants. Several years ago, our youngest son David was diagnosed as well. I have a heart for those who struggle with disabilities and those that love them, and I want to be an advocate for myself and for others with disabilities.
I have received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I encourage you to take a trip over to the “God’s Story In My Life” page, where you will find my whole testimony. This blog has come out of that testimony and walking with the Lord on a daily basis since. My heart for this blog is to be a place where we can walk out this journey with Jesus together as we become renewed creations, being transformed and renewed from the inside out, day by day.
May this be a place where we can share our joys, and our struggles and be strengthened and encouraged by one another.
