Ever since I was a young girl, I have loved the feel of a book in my hands. The library was my friend, and I could hide there for hours. There is something about the smell of a book, new or old, and now, with my cochlear implant, I can hear the turning of the pages now.

With my hearing loss and deafness, I have always been a visual and kinesthetic learner. I learn by reading, watching a tutorial, or being shown how to do something.

I am also an observer of life. Along the way, in school, jobs, and everyday life, I have noticed that many people have different learning styles. I have also noticed that people are listening to take in more in this day and age. There are a growing number of podcasts and audiobooks becoming available.

If you are one of those people, I am excited to share that I have begun to work on recording my audiobook this month.

It has been such an interesting experience so far. My sweet friend Miranda has been my partner in helping my book come to life on audio. The picture above is the workspace where it is all happening.

As I read the words of my book to a new audience, I am amazed at how the words come to life in a whole new way as I read them aloud. I am incredibly excited to be able to read this book in my voice. I love the idea of reading this book to you! This opportunity is a miracle in itself because my voice has not always been in a place where I would be able to do this.

I pray that God continues to use this message to encourage, bless, and free people from the bondage of religion and legalism as each word goes out of my mouth to every ear that hears it. As you hear me share about my love for Jesus and how He changed my life, I pray you will be drawn to know Him more.

Be sure to stay connected so you don’t miss out on any updates on the audiobook’s release!
